How to Create an Election Online
Here’s a step-by-step guide for user to create an election via Right2Vote:


Log in to Right2Vote
To begin, go to the official Right2Vote website at https://right2vote.in On the top right corner of the homepage, you’ll see a red “Login” button—click on it. Enter your email ID or mobile number, check the “Admin” checkbox, and then click “Sign In.” You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on the provided email or mobile number. After entering the OTP, you will be redirected to your Admin Dashboard.


Create Your Profile
Once logged in, you need to set up your profile to proceed with election creation. Click on the “My Profile” button in the dashboard and fill in the required details such as your name, organization, and contact information. After filling out the form, click “Update.” Your profile is now created and you are eligible to set up elections.


Configure Poll Settings
After completing your profile, click on the “Create Election” button. On the election creation page, you need to enter details including the name of the election, start date and time, end date and time, and the type of poll (Simple, Team Election, Resolution, etc.). Then, click on the “Settings” tab to configure features such as Secret Ballot, Result Post Poll Close, Voter Receipt, and Audit Trail. After selecting the features, click on the “Add Question” button to move forward.


Create the Ballot
In the question section, you will define the structure of your ballot. Select the poll type again if prompted and choose the option type—Text, Text with Image, or Descriptive. Enter the election post (e.g., President, Secretary) and add the candidates under each post. If you need to add multiple posts or questions, click “Next” and repeat the process. Once you's ve completed setting up the questions, click “Finish.” You can preview the ballot using the “Preview Poll” button before proceeding.


Add Voters
To add voters, click on the “Add Voter” or “Respondent List” button. Download the sample Excel sheet provided and fill it with voter details such as name, email ID or mobile number, and optionally, a unique ID like membership number or flat number. Save the sheet and upload it to the portal. Once uploaded, click on “Save Respondents” and then “Confirm” to finalize your voter list.


Checkout and Launch the Election
You will now be redirected to the checkout page, where you can review your order and election details. Choose a preferred payment method and click on “Place Order.” After successful payment, a congratulatory screen will appear confirming that your election is live. You will also receive a confirmation via email or SMS.
